On May 6, 1965, at about 6 P.M. a devastating tornado stuck Minnetonka and other
Minneapolis suburban areas. It left 14 dead, 400 injured and property damage in excess
of $50,000,000.  It is the purpose of this book to convey to you in pictorial form the
havoc left in this tornado's wake.  If you live in any of these areas and your home or
property was damaged or destroyed, pictures of such may be in this book.    This
book serves as a permanent record of the worst tragedy ever to strike "By the
waters of Minnetonka".
